Black Tourmaline at a glance

Black Tourmaline is a trade name commonly used for dark tourmaline, often schorl. It may occur as striated crystals, rough pieces, polished forms or beads.

Tourmaline is a group of related borosilicate minerals. Black colour alone does not establish composition, species, origin or treatment. Natural material can include fractures, matrix and uneven surfaces.
