Crystal Mapping — Colour, Form, Tradition and Intention

Crystal Codex · Mapping

Connections
without false certainty.

A transparent way to explore relationships among colour, mineral family, crystal form, cultural correspondence and reflective intention—without presenting a symbolic map as measurable mineral fact.

Five mapping registers

Know why two things are connected.

Every useful map should disclose its basis. Sacred Gems keeps geological relationship, visual similarity, cultural tradition, retail form and reflective use visibly distinct.

01 · Material family

Composition and structure

Quartz varieties can be grouped by mineral family; garnets by group; volcanic glasses by formation. This is a material relationship, not a spiritual ranking.

02 · Colour

Visual correspondence

Colour can support comparison, design and personal association. Similar colour does not establish identical composition, treatment or symbolic meaning.

03 · Form

How the object is shaped

Rough, tumbled, carved, beaded, faceted and set forms change handling, care, scale and use. Form should not be mistaken for an increase in inherent power.

04 · Tradition

Cultural and spiritual systems

Chakra, planetary, elemental and ritual correspondences come from particular frameworks. A responsible map names the framework instead of calling it universal fact.

05 · Intention

Reflective language

Words such as clarity, courage, boundaries or devotion can be used as journalling and ritual prompts. They are not guaranteed outcomes supplied by the object.

A disciplined mapping method

Ask four questions.

A connection becomes more useful when its source and limit are visible.

01
What is being mapped?
Name the specific material, colour, object form, tradition or reflective intention rather than collapsing them into one category.
02
What is the basis?
Is the link mineralogical, historical, visual, cultural, commercial or personal? More than one basis may apply, but each should be stated.
03
What does it not prove?
A correspondence does not establish treatment, authenticity, health effect, protection, financial result or another causal outcome.
04
What should the reader verify?
Return to the actual listing for identity, dimensions, treatment, care, provenance basis and certification.

The purpose of mapping is orientation, not obedience. A reader can use a framework, question it, compare it with another framework or leave it entirely.
